Pay your bills quickly, easily and securely through Australia Post. With Postbillpay® you can pay gas, electricity, phone, council rates, tax1 and insurance premium bills and more:
- In person - you can pay your bills over the counter at more than 3800 Australia Post retail outlets2. To make paying your bills even easier, we are also trialling new self-service terminals in 5 Australia Post retail outlets.
- By phone - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- On the internet - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Using a smartphone - you can quickly and easily pay a variety of bills on the go by downloading our new Postbillpay mobile application onto your smartphone.
Why use Postbillpay?
- Pay your bills securely - a high level of security measures are in place to protect your personal details and privacy
- Convenience - you can use Postbillpay to pay more than 1000 different types of bills. You can pay as many bills as you like at the same time, and you can make payments on behalf of someone else
- Choice of payment options - you can pay using cash, cheque, EFTPOS3, credit card4, or PayPal, depending on whether you pay in person, by phone, using a smartphone or on the internet
- Proof of payment - you'll receive a receipt number for each bill you pay. This gives you proof of payment.
Which bills you can pay using Postbillpay?
- You can pay any bills that have the Postbillpay logo with a Billpay code and reference number using any of our four Postbillpay payment methods
- Search our list of billers to check whether you can use Postbillpay to pay a particular account.

Conditions apply:
1 Each payment to an Australian Tax Office account requires a separate transaction and can't be combined with other banking or bill payment transactions. All other bill payments can be combined in a single transaction if paid in person.
2 Some billers charge a bill payment fee for bills paid in person. Some exemptions apply. For further information please contact your biller direct.
3 EFTPOS is not available at some smaller outlets. Minimum purchase available is $10.00. Bank transaction fees may apply.
4 Australia Post accepts Visa and MasterCard debit cards for Postbillpay payments. Australia Post accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club credit cards for Postbillpay payments.
5 Please note that some billing organisations may limit the value of payments or only accept payments from a biller nominated payment method. Payment methods could include Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club and PayPal.
