Paying your bills in person

You can use Postbillpay® to pay your bills in person at thousands of Australia Post retail outlets around the country. If your bill has the Postbillpay logo with a Billpay code, simply bring it in to any participating Australia Post retail outlet. We'll process your payment on the spot and give you a receipt immediately as a record.

Payment options in person

When paying your bills in person at an Australia Post retail outlet, you can use:

  • cash
  • cheque
  • Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Diners Club credit card2
  • EFTPOS3.

Where can I pay my bills in person?

You can pay bills over-the-counter at more than 3800 Australia Post retail outlets. To find one near you, call 13 13 16.

Conditions apply:

1 Each payment to an Australian Tax Office account requires a separate transaction and can't be combined with other banking or bill payment transactions. All other payments can be combined in a single transaction if made in person.

2 Some billing organisations may limit the value of credit card payments or only accept payments from nominated credit card issuers.

3 EFTPOS is not available at some smaller outlets. Minimum purchase available is $10.00. Bank transaction fees may apply. Australia Post accepts Visa and MasterCard debit cards for Postbillpay EFTPOS payments.

Some billers charge a bill payment fee for bills paid in person. Some exemptions apply. For further information, please contact your biller direct.
