How does it work ?
How does a Parcel Locker work?
Step 1. Register
Register for Parcel Locker service at auspost.com.au/parcel-lockers. Registration is free.
When you register you will receive a Parcel Locker address and your unique Parcel Locker Customer ID.
Step 2. Shop online
Shop online using your Parcel Locker address as your delivery address, eg.
Jane Smith
Parcel Locker C123456
170-174 Chapel Street,
St Kilda VIC 3182
We will email and SMS you when your parcel is available for collection. You will be issued with a locker number and access code.
Step 3. Collect
You can collect your parcel from your allocated Parcel Locker location anytime within 48 hours.
What can be delivered to a Parcel Locker?
- Parcel Lockers are for parcels delivered by Australia Post.
- You can't send the following to a Parcel Locker:
- letters and standard mail
- Express Post letters
- parcels requiring 'proof of identity' or payment on delivery
- parcels containing wine or other alcohol
- parcels larger than our biggest locker, which is 375mm x 600mm x 650mm
- multi-parcel deliveries; we can only manage one parcel per locker
Also, we don't recommend the service for parcels containing perishable items.
Key things you need to know
- When you collect your parcel, please do so safely. Your parcel may be heavy or awkward to lift and carry away, so do use the correct lifting techniques if necessary. Also take care when opening and closing the locker doors.
- If a parcel arrives that's not suitable for a locker - or if you don't collect your parcel within 48 hours - we'll send you an email and SMS to let you know you can collect it from the Australia Post outlet at the same location, during business hours.

In our trial areas, you can also use your Parcel Locker if you've received a 'You have a parcel' card.
