Express Post Platinum is Australia Post's premium next day delivery service designed to give you extra peace of mind when sending important parcels. For details of our range of satchels and parcels, see Express Post Platinum products.

As well as a guaranteed next business day delivery, Express Post Platinum secures a signature on delivery and you are able to track your item online.

Features of Express Post Platinum

If there is no one to sign for your delivery, a card will be left advising where the item can be collected from.

Sending valuable items

If you are sending valuable items, Express Post Platinum offers additional peace of mind with automatic compensation of up to $100 should loss or damage occur.  If your item exceeds $100 in value, you can purchase Extra Cover up to a limit of $5,000 from your local postal outlet.

Extra Cover does not apply to bank notes, bullion or negotiable securities.

Buying prepaid Express Post envelopes and satchels

You can buy prepaid Express Post Platinum satchels at any Australia Post retail outlet. All prices are inclusive of GST and you can save up to 10% when buying your Express Post Platinum prepaid products in bulk.

Posting Express Post Platinum satchels

Once correctly addressed, simply drop your Express Post Platinum satchel into any one of the Express Post gold boxes by 6pm or hand it in at your nearest post office to guarantee next day delivery. Lodgement times are earlier in Perth and some regional centres, so check times on street posting boxes.

When posting Express Post Platinum satchels you will also need to sign the aviation security and dangerous goods declaration which appears on the front of the satchel.

Please note that posting your Express Post Platinum item in a red street box will delay your delivery.

Parcels

If your contents exceed the size and weight limit of our satchels, you can use our Express Post Platinum parcel service for sending parcels up to 20kg. We guarantee your goods being sent within the Express Post Platinum network will arrive at their destination the very next business day.

Express Post Platinum parcel pricing and sizes

Any parcel that you would normally send with Australia Post can be sent via our Express Post Platinum service. You can use Express Post Platinum parcels for the delivery of items up to 20kg. Express Post Platinum parcel labels are available from our retail outlets and can be ordered in bulk.

Starting prices:

  • Parcels up to 500g - $13.40
  • Parcels over 500g - cost varies depending on the weight of your item. Use our postage calculator to work out the cost of your parcel.

Size:

  • Your parcel should not exceed 105cm in length and 140cm in girth.

Lodging Express Post Platinum parcels

Bring your parcel to your nearest Australia Post retail outlet within the Express Post Platinum network by 5pm or by its Express Post Platinum mail service closing time whichever, is earlier. To help you pack items securely, you can also buy a wide range of packaging products and accessories, including bubble wrap and tape, at your Australia Post retail outlet.

When lodging your parcels you will need to use an Express Post Platinum Parcel address label and sign an aviation security and dangerous goods declaration.

Extra Cover

When sending valuables that exceed $100 in value, you can purchase Extra Cover for items valued up to $5,000 at the counter of your local postal outlet.
