As well as a guaranteed next business day delivery, Express Post Platinum secures a signature on delivery and you are able to track your item online.

Service features

  • Extra Cover available - if your item exceeds $100 in value, you can purchase Extra Cover up to a limit of $5,000 from your local postal outlet.
  • Safeguarding valuable documents - when sending documents of value (such as passports, academic records and certificates of title) you are covered for up to $100 should the unforeseen occur.
  • Online item tracking**.
  • Proof of posting - when your item is lodged at an Australia Post retail outlet, your receipt will be endorsed as proof of shipment. This is especially important if you're a seller using the PayPal online payment gateway to ensure that you qualify for PayPal seller protection.

Delivering your Express Post Platinum article

If there is no one to sign for your delivery, a card will be left advising where the item can be collected.

Sending valuable items

If you are sending valuable items, Express Post Platinum offers additional peace of mind with automatic compensation of up to $100 should loss or damage occur. If your item exceeds $100 in value, you can purchase Extra Cover up to a limit of $5,000 from your local postal outlet. Extra Cover does not apply to bank notes, bullion or negotiable securities.

Buying prepaid Express Post Platinum satchels

You can buy prepaid Express Post envelopes and satchels at any Australia Post retail outlet. All prices are inclusive of GST and you can save up to 10% when buying your Express Post Platinum prepaid products in bulk.

Posting Express Post Platinum satchels

Once correctly addressed, simply drop your Express Post Platinum satchel into any one of the Express Post gold posting boxes by 6pm or hand it in at your nearest post office to guarantee next day delivery. Lodgement times are earlier in Perth and some regional centres, so check times on street posting boxes.

When posting Express Post Platinum satchels you will also need to sign the aviation security and dangerous goods declaration which appears on the front of the satchel.

Please be aware that posting your Express Post Platinum item in a red street posting box will delay your delivery.
