  • How do I buy a Cash Passport Debit Card?

    Buy a Cash Passport Debit Card online2, or in-store at participating Australia Post retail outlets.

    If you purchase in-store you will need to complete an application form. You can download a Cash Passport Debit Card application form online or you can pick one up at participating retail outlets. You can pay by cash or EFTPOS3 and funds will be available when activated. If you purchase it online you will need to pay by BPAY® within 4 hours of placing your order, and choose an Australia Post retail outlet to collect your card from. It will be ready for collection within 5 business days.

  • What proof of ID will I need?

    The only person who can collect your Cash Passport Debit Card is you.

    When you order and collect your card from your nominated Australia Post outlet, you'll need to show us your Australian or international passport, or Australian driver's licence.

  • How do I activate my Cash Passport Debit Card?

    Before you use your card, you need to activate it. You can do this online, or call 1800 889 040 and follow the prompts.

  • How do I reload my Cash Passport Debit Card?

    You can top-up your travel money at any time by reloading your card online with Access Prepaid Worldwide. You will need to pay for your order within 4 hours of placing your order via BPAY®. Once your payment has been received, your reload will be processed and the funds will be available on your card within 2 business days. 

    You can also reload your Cash Passport Debit Card at any participating Australia Post retail outlet. To do this, you'll need to complete the application form, and show us your current Australian or international passport or Australian driver's licence in its original form. You can pay in-store using cash or EFTPOS3 and funds will be available on your card within approximately 2 business hours.

    Cash Passport ATM Cards can also be reloaded online with Access Prepaid Worldwide2. Please note Cash Passport ATM Cards are no longer available for purchase through Australia Post and they can only be reloaded online.

  • How do I manage my Cash Passport Debit Card account?

    Register your card on the Cash Passport website before you travel, and you'll be able to manage your account online wherever you go.

    • View your balance and transaction history
    • Change your PIN
    • Update your contact details
    • Find your nearest Visa ATM locations
  • How do I cancel my Cash Passport Debit Card?

    You can use your card until the expiry date, which is printed on the front of the card. If you want to cancel it and have the balance refunded to your bank account, visit a participating Australia Post retail outlet and complete a Deactivation Authorisation Form. Fees will apply4.

  • What if my card is lost or stolen?

    Contact the Cash Passport team straight away using their 24/7 Global Emergency Assistance support service. If only one card has been lost or stolen, you can still use your second card to access your money, after your lost card is cancelled.

    If both cards are lost or stolen, Cash Passport will send you replacement cards within 48 hours (depending on your location) - free of charge. Emergency funds up to the balance of your lost or stolen card can also be arranged.

  • Are there any limits to my foreign currency transaction?

    You can load the following minimum and maximum amounts onto your Cash Passport Debit Card online and at participating Australia Post retail outlets.
