Using our Express Courier International service
Posting your item
Express Courier International
It's easy to package your goods to send overseas. You can:
- choose a prepaid envelope, satchel or box from any Australia Post retail outlet
- use the Postpak range available at retail outlets
- use your own envelopes and packaging
It's important to pack your parcel properly. We may refuse items that aren't likely to withstand the climate extremes of international delivery.
Not sure how to package your item? Check our packaging guidelines to make sure your article is accepted and will travel safely and securely.
To meet aviation security requirements, a consignment note will be attached to your Prepaid Express Courier International item.
You'll need to complete and sign the consignment note before you lodge your item. If the item doesn't already have a consignment note, you can collect one from any retail outlet and attach it to your letter or parcel.
To send your item overseas, simply place it in a gold street posting box. If the item is too large for a posting box, you can lodge it at any retail outlet.
Express Courier International Platinum
Simply follow these 4 simple steps when packaging your item:
- Use our online to check your item isn't prohibited and that your destination city is serviced by ECI Platinum
- Collect and complete a Shipment Waybill and an Origin and Value Declaration from any retail store
- Collect the convenient plastic sleeve and place the Waybill and Declaration form inside it
- Attach the sleeve to your package
Lodgement is only available for this product over the counter at selected retail outlets. When lodging your item, you'll need to show us one of the following forms of ID:
- Australian driver's license with photo
- Australian passport
- An identification card with photo, issued by an Australian government body (including Australian State/Territory bodies)
Lodge your package before 2pm to ensure delivery within 2 business days.
