Overview
If you're running a competition, we set you up with a free post office box for the duration of your competition to receive your mail - and you get a postage rebate on every fully stamped entry sent to your box, over a minimum number.

How to get the Competition Mail rebate
To qualify for the rebate, your competition must be an eligible trade promotion or lottery, registered with the appropriate state or territory authorities, and with the relevant permits.
View the requirements
- Register your competiton with us at least 3 weeks before the promotion starts
- Set the prize draw date at least 5 business days after the competition closing date
- Keep the response envelope within maximum size 130mm x 240mm, maximum thickness 5mm and maximum weight 250g
- Ensure the envelope contents aren't too rigid, so they can go through automated letter sorting equipment
- Attract a minimum number of stamped entries to your post office box - this depends on the state where the competiton is held (see below)
On receiving the minimum entries required, the following rebates will be paid at the conclusion of the competition.

How to use Competition Mail
Posting your mail
- Download and complete the Competition Mail application form (97kb) at least 3 weeks before the competition starts.
- Send the completed form to the address specified. We'll usually let you know the outcome of your application within 2 working days.
In some cases, you'll need to register your competition with the appropriate state and territory authorities to obtain relevant permits. You can check this with the state(s) where you plan to hold the competition. However, you can still apply for Competition Mail while you're waiting for your permit. - Once we've approved your mail application, we'll give you a free post office box address for the duration of the competition. During the competition, we'll record the number of entries and give you regular updates.
- When the competition closes, download and complete the Competition Mail claim for rebate form (69kb). Send it to the address specified for your state (you'll find this on the application form) with the written statement we sent you of the number of entries received.
- Your rebate payment will take around 45 days to process. Payments are made directly into a bank account.
