Where is Rural Bank available?

You can open your account at participating Australia Post retail outlets across regional and rural areas of southern NSW and the ACT.

Once you've opened a Rural Bank account, you can then make deposits and withdrawals1, or check your account balance at any retail outlet displaying the Bank@PostTM sign.

What happens when I make a complaint?

Rural Bank aims to respond to complaints as soon as possible. When your complaint is received, they will take the following steps:

  1. Acknowledge your complaint in writing within 3 business days
  2. Aim to respond to your complaint within 45 calendar days of the complaint being received
  3. Keep you informed of its progress in responding to your complaint

If you feel your complaint has not been properly handled or resolved, you may be able to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service, whose office can be contacted via:
