Meet two athletes

This year, Australia Post is sponsoring swimmer Jessicah Schipper and pole vaulter Steve Hooker in their quest to achieve Commonwealth Games gold.

Jessicah specialises in swimming the 50, 100 and 200 metre butterfly events, but also loves competing in medley relays. She currently holds the World and Commonwealth records for the 200 metre (long course) and 100 metre (short course) butterfly events.

At the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Steve Hooker became the first Australian ever to win a gold medal in pole vaulting and the first Australian field athlete to win a medal in 60 years. His Beijing gold also earned him the Olympic record after he completed a jump of 5.96 metres!
