Postbillpay makes it easy to pay bills quickly and securely. You can pay gas, electricity, phone, council rates, tax, insurance and many more.

  2. Follow the step-by-step instructions
  3. Enter the Billpay code and reference number shown on your bill
  4. Enter your credit card, debit card or PayPal details
  5. Enter the amount you'd like to pay
  6. Confirm your transaction and wait for your payment ID number - this acts as your receipt

  1. Call 13 18 16 from anywhere in Australia
  2. Our voice system will guide you through a simple step-by-step process with clear instructions
  3. You'll be asked to enter your 4-digit Billpay code and reference number shown on your bill using your telephone keypad
  4. Enter your credit or debit card details and expiry date
  5. Enter the amount you'd like to pay
  6. Confirm your transaction and wait for your payment ID number - this acts as your receipt

  1. Download the Postbillpay® mobile app onto your smartphone
  2. Touch the 'auspost' App on your smartphone screen and select 'Pay a bill'
  3. Enter the Billpay code and reference the number on your bill
  4. Enter your credit or debit card details
  5. Enter the amount you'd like to pay
  6. Confirm your transaction and wait for your payment ID number - this acts as your receipt

  1. Visit your nearest participating Australia Post outlet
  2. Check your bill has the Postbillpay® logo with a Billpay code
  3. Take your bill into any participating Australia Post retail outlet and we'll process your payment over the counter via cash, cheque, EFTPOS, credit card or debit card
  4. You'll be given a receipt as proof of payment for your record

1 Australia Post accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club credit cards as required by billing organisations.  

2 EFTPOS is not available at some smaller outlets. Minimum purchase available is $10.00. Bank transaction fees may apply.

3 Australia Post accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club credit cards for Postbillpay payments based on the requirements of the billing organisation.

Why is Australia Post trialling self-service machines for bill payments?

A lot of Australian retailers, including supermarkets and department stores, have already introduced self-service solutions. We'd like to extend the benefits of self-service to our customers so they have greater access, convenience and choice when they transact with us.
