If your business has an account with any of our business banking partners, you can treat our Bank@Post outlets as though they're a part of the financial institution you're already banking with.

How to use Bank@Post to do your business banking

How to

Depending on your financial institution, you can use Bank@Post to:

  • deposit cheques1
  • deposit cash - up to $3,000 per day2
  • withdraw cash3
  • check your business banking account balance3

How to make a deposit

To make a cheque or cash deposit, you'll need one of the following:

  • A barcoded deposit book from your financial institution
  • A transaction card and PIN that are linked to your banking account

To deposit a cheque into your business bank account, follow these 3 simple steps:

  1. Complete a Bank@Post deposit slip or a barcoded slip provided by your bank
  2. Make sure your cheque is  made payable to either:
    - the name shown on your transaction card, or
    - cash
  3. Swipe the transaction card linked to your business account and enter your PIN when prompted by our counter staff

Please note:

  • We can't cash cheques or deposit third party cheques into your account
  • Cheques can take 5-7 business days to clear (please contact your individual banking provider for more information on clearance times)
  • There may be limits to the number of cheques you can deposit with us in any one transaction (please check directly with your financial institution)

You can deposit up to $3,000 cash per day at selected retail outlets4 using a barcoded slip provided by your bank, or using your transaction card and a Bank@Post deposit slip.

Notes should be bundled in lots of 10 or 100 and coins should be bagged with only one type of coin in each bag.

How to withdraw cash

To withdraw funds from your business banking account:

  1. Swipe your transaction card at the counter
  2. Select your account type
  3. Enter your PIN when prompted

You can withdraw up to $1,000 cash a day from your nominated business account, but you'll also need to consider your financial institution's maximum daily limit.

How to check your account balance

We make it easy to check your account balance at Australia Post. Just present your business banking transaction card at the counter of one of our participating Bank@Post outlets and enter your PIN.
