Our post – what's it all about?

In this section you will find some more information about each of the interactives provided in Multimedia fun in the "Our post – what's it all about?" primary student section.

The Multimedia fun section offers your students the opportunity to improve their letter writing skills, learn about the journey of a letter (from posting to delivery) and test their knowledge of the history of Australia Post and mail delivery in Australia.

Let's write a letter! Online interactive

This online letter writing interactive allows students to create their own personal or business letter by following a step-by-step guide. The interactive provides a sample letter and letter ideas, as well as hints for each step of the letter writing process. When composing a personal letter, students also have the option of selecting an illustrated letterhead to add to the top of their letter. Once students have composed their letters, they can either save or print them.

Instructions are provided in the interactive, and as a printable PDF or HTML below, to assist you and your students.

The interactive is a wonderful tool to use on an IWB as a whole-class introduction on how to write personal and / or business letters, as well as an effective way for students to learn how to write letters individually.
