How to use Bank@Post to do your business banking

To undertake banking transactions at Australia Post using your St George business banking account you'll need a St George transaction card with a PIN.

After each business transaction we'll provide you with a receipt for your records.

Depositing cheques

To deposit a cheque, simply complete a Bank@Post deposit slip and swipe the transaction card linked to your business account at the counter to begin your transaction

There is no Iimit on the number of cheques you can deposit with us in any one transaction. You'll just need to list the specific details for each cheque on the back of your deposit slip. If there's not enough space to record all your cheques, please attach a separate cheque listing to your deposit slip.

All cheques must be made payable to either:

  • the name shown on your transaction card or
  • cash.

We're unable to cash cheques or deposit third party cheques into your account.

Please note that St George may take up to seven days to clear cheques banked at Australia Post. If you'd like more information on clearance times, please contact St George.

Depositing cash

You can deposit up to $3,000 cash per day at selected Australia Post retail outlets* using your St George transaction card.

We ask that you present notes to us bundled in lots of 10 or 100. Coins should be bagged with only one type of coin per bag.

Withdrawing cash

To withdraw funds from your business banking account, simply swipe your St George transaction card at the counter and select your account type to begin. You can withdraw up to $1,000 cash a day from your St George business account. You'll also need to take St George's maximum daily limit into consideration.

Checking your account balance

You can check your business banking account balance using your St George transaction card.
