Secure collection of your important items

Our Secure Collect service provides your business with an efficient way to help ensure important items are only received by your intended recipient. Australia Post Secure Collect allows your customers to personally collect sensitive or valuable items subject to an identity check through our extensive network of over 3,200 retail outlets.

How Secure Collect works:

  1. You mail the item directly to any eligible Australia Post retail outlet nominated by your customer.
  2. You also send a Collection Advice to the customer advising them that the item is ready for collection and detail the type of evidence of identity they must present.
  3. When the item reaches our outlet, it will be stored securely until the customer comes to collect it.
  4. When your customer visits our outlet we conduct an identity check, hand the item to the customer and collect a signature on the Collection Declaration.
  5. We can collect a payment from your customer if required.

Secure document delivery

We can also securely deliver any important documents collected as part of your customer's application with two services that require your customer's signature upon delivery:

  • Registered Post - a barcoded mail service that ensures your article is tracked from the moment it's lodged at an Australia Post retail outlet. A signature is obtained from your customer upon delivery, and a delivery confirmation can be made available to you.
  • Express Post Platinum - a fully tracked premium service with guaranteed next day delivery across Australia within the Express Post network. We'll also collect your customer's signature upon delivery.

Both these services allow you to track your article online so you know where it is and when it has been delivered.
