Using Registered Post products

Prepaid labels (delivery within Australia)

You can buy prepaid labels in any Australia Post retail outlet. The prepaid label must be attached to the article being sent and then lodged over the counter with an accompanying Registered Post lodgement receipt (pdf 65kb) (when lodging one item) or a Registered Post multiple lodgement document (pdf 55kb) (when lodging more than one article). This receipt and your tax invoice provide the necessary proof of posting in the event of a claim.

Prepaid envelopes (delivery within Australia and overseas)

You can buy prepaid envelopes in any Australia Post retail outlet. The receipt on the back of the envelope must be completed by you prior to lodgement. When the envelope is lodged at an Australia Post outlet the receipt will be detached, postmarked and handed to you. This receipt together with your payment receipt provides the necessary proof of posting in the event of a claim.

Imprints

For bulk lodgements consult your Australia Post account manager or contact us. We'll provide you with a unique barcode range to get you started using the Imprint service.

Refer to the Registered Post Imprint technical specifications document (pdf 132kb) for details on how to print the Registered Post imprint. Visit our list of Bulk Mail Partners if you need to find a mail house to help you print Registered Post Imprint.

All imprint articles are lodged over the counter using the Registered Post multiple lodgement document (pdf 55kb). To avoid having to manually complete details of every article being lodged on this form, a supporting document can be provided that lists each article and the address it is being sent to. A Microsoft Word or equivalent document will suffice.

Prepaid International padded bags (delivery overseas)

You can purchase International prepaid padded bags in any Australia Post outlet. The padded bag has a consignment note which addresses aviation security requirements. These must be completed and signed.

International parcels

International parcels requiring Registered Post must have a Registered Post International consignment note completed and attached. These are available from Australia Post retail outlets.

Please note: All Registered Post articles must be lodged over the counter at as Australian Post retail outlet for proof of posting. If they are posted in street posting boxes they will not have proof of posting and may be subject to delays.
