Post office boxes
Post office boxes are available in different sizes to suit the volume of your mail.
- Medium boxes, 135mm x 130mm, suit small to medium businesses and are installed at most Australia Post retail outlets.
- Large boxes, 275mm x 130mm, are designed for medium to large businesses and are installed at most outlets.
- Jumbo and A4 boxes for larger volumes of mail are available at selected outlets only.
- A combined post office box and locked bag allows you to add extra capacity to your existing post office box.

Accessing a post office box
Most Australia Post retail outlets provide 24 hour access to post office boxes, so you can collect your mail at your convenience. You can also choose to arrange for a courier to collect your mail for you.
Australia Post can help you further streamline your mail collection process with the Mail2Day® alerting service. It advises you by SMS or email when you have mail to collect from your post office box.

Applying for a post office box
Once you've decided on the post office box that best suits your business, it's easy to apply. You'll receive your new post office box address and your keys once your application and payment has been processed. You'll receive two keys when you first lease your post office box and you can buy extra keys at any time.
