Pay it at Post gives people who don't wish to disclose their credit card details, or who don't have a credit card, a secure and convenient option for paying for their purchases. So it's ideal for businesses offering goods or services via the internet or through telephone sales.

How Pay it at Post works

Pay it at Post is easy for both you and your customers to use.

  1. Purchase - customers making a purchase through your website can simply choose the Pay it at Post payment option. They'll be linked to the Pay it at Post website and prompted to print out an invoice once they've made their purchase.
  2. Payment - customers then visit any Australia Post retail outlet to pay for their purchase. The link from your website tells us everything we need to know about the required payment - the value to collect, your reference number and your preferences for how we customise your payment slip.
  3. Delivery - payment advice is available online as soon as a transaction is completed at one of our retail outlets, so you can access your customers' payment status at your convenience and deliver their orders accordingly.
  4. Settlement - we will transfer your customers' payments directly to your bank account as one convenient lump sum (you can choose how often you'd like settlement). Detailed settlement reports are available online for you to review at any time.
