ISW Development (ISW) is an Australian owned and operated information technology, software, services and media company.

As a registrant in the Australia Post AMAS Program, ISW has developed the Address-IT range of quality address management software to meet the diverse needs of clients who make use of Australia Post's Barcoding, PreSort, and Print Post mail services.

From very large national distributors, software developers and government departments through to small businesses and charitable institutions, ISW can provide an appropriate solution for maintaining quality address information, and for the matching and barcoding of addresses to qualify for postage discounts within Australia. 

The software products that have been developed to implement these functions are available for a variety of user environments including Microsoft Windows, Unix (including Linux), Solaris and IBM AS/400 (iSeries).

Address-IT Pro (Windows)

Platform: Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT, ME, XP, Vista, and 7

Address-IT Pro is a batch product that allows users to import address data and match against the PAF to provide DPIDs, corrected addresses, Barcode Sort Plan (BSP) zones, and generate postal barcodes.  Address-IT Pro provides an end-to-end solution for users of PreSort mail by providing the following features:

• Data import: Easily import user address data from a range of formats including Microsoft Access, Excel, text files, dBase, Paradox, Lotus 123 and ODBC data sources.
• Duplicate search: Identify and optionally export or delete duplicate addresses
• Fast processing: quickly process input data to provide DPIDs, barcode strings, corrected addresses, BSP zones and generate postal barcodes.
• Configurable input address lines: re-process unmatched addresses with different input address components to improve the match rate.
• Customisable pre-processing: re-process unmatched addresses with data substitutions on-the-fly to improve match rate and fix common mistakes in addresses.
• Assisted repair: efficiently fix unmatched addresses with minimal keystrokes and intelligent searching.  Reporting information helps highlight possible problems with each input address.
• Data export: export original and new data into any of the input formats.
• Manifest generation: generate PAT (PreSort Accuracy Test) Approved manifest for PreSort lodgement.  Pro can also provide Print Post manifests.

Address-IT Letter (Microsoft Office, Lotus Smartsuite, Lotus Notes)

Platform: Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT, ME and XP, Vista, and 7

Address-IT Letter is a graphical application which can be used both as an address input validation tool for general Windows applications or Lotus Notes, and when generating ad hoc mail using Microsoft Office or Lotus Smartsuite.  An address is manually entered, and the PAF is searched for matching components.  Selections from the result list can be made until an individual address is identified.

Address-IT Letter can then automatically paste the address details into almost any application. 

Two lines of recipient information can be entered for use in ad-hoc address creation.  These lines are not processed in any way, but are returned with the formatted address between the barcode line and the address lines.

Address-IT Letter can also be integrated into client applications via either an API or via simple configuration.

Address-IT API (Windows, Unix, Linux)

Platform: Windows, AIX, HP-UX, Linux, Sun Solaris

Address-IT API provides an Application Programming Interface which is designed to be integrated into server-based applications in the appropriate operating environment.  The Address-IT API products are suitable for packaged software providers as well as customer developed software applications.

Address-IT API provides a number of functions which include:

• match an address against the PAF and return the appropriate DPID, individual address components, and report match information
• return a barcode string from input including the DPID
• return a Barcode Sort Plan (BSP) zone from input postcode
• return a formatted address from input address components

A comprehensive set of functions for querying the contents of the PAF are also built into the API which can be used in the development of front-end products.

Address-IT Pro/400 (AS/400)

Platform: AS/400, iSeries

Address-IT Pro/400 is a set of software components designed to work specifically in the OS/400 environment which provide functions for address matching, repair, and lookup.

The matching function is called from a user-written program which reads an existing OS/400 database file and calls the API to match each address and return the corresponding DPID and barcode string for each address.

The repair function is provided by an interactive application which can be used to correct unmatched addresses from the batch process.  This application requires an input database file to be populated with the unmatched addresses from a customer file and then exported back to the original customer database file after the repair process by a user written program.

The lookup function is provided by an interactive query tool which can be used to search for manually entered components of an address, and once a specific address has been identified, it will validate and return the resulting address components including the corresponding DPID.

Address-IT Letter Web

Address-IT Letter Web enabled clients to integrate Address-IT directly with their web sites via an interactive AJAX based interface. Address-IT Letter acts in a very similar manner as Address-IT Letter enabling users to validate addresses entered into web sites on the fly or to drill down thru possible address matches until the correct address is found.
