In-person ID checks

In-person application and identity checking is an effective way of making sure you know who you're dealing with. An in-person identity check can significantly reduce the risk of identity fraud. And an in-person application can reduce the number of errors being made on your application forms while accelerating the application process.

Forms content validation

Forms processing can be severely hampered if the details filled in by your customers are incomplete or incorrect. We offer a form validation service through our retail network that provides a convenient and effective way for your customers to submit their completed forms. As part of this process we check the forms on your behalf. When your form is presented at an Australia Post retail outlet, our staff will check that all mandatory fields have been completed and will check any details or supporting documents as required.

To ensure a consistent service delivery, your business rules will be included in a scripted procedure for our staff. This means the transaction can't be completed unless all the mandatory checks are performed.

Once the transaction is complete, we'll forward the forms to you by your preferred delivery method at the end of each business day.

Electronic data capture and validation options

Application forms can be accepted at Australia Post retail outlets and scanned using our electronic data capture technology. We can capture typed and handwritten text, checkboxes and barcodes on your behalf and validate information according to your business rules. The data and images are sent to you as an electronic file for further processing into your workflow system.

100-point identity checks

The concept of a 100 point identity check is well established and is commonly used as a customer identification procedure. It's based on the verification procedure outlined in the Financial Transaction Reports Act 1988, which requires applicants to produce original identification documents worth at least 100-points. It provides a list of primary and secondary documents that your customers can use for their 100-point ID check.

This check is used by many organisations as a reliable means for customer identification and a tool to reduce the risk of identity fraud. The 100-point check can also assist your business to minimise credit risk and bad debt by checking your customers' identity.

We are highly experienced in performing 100-point ID checks on behalf of a wide range of organisations and we offer this service at more than 3,200 participating Australia Post retail outlets. Upon successful completion of the check, a range of information is captured by our point-of-sale system and transferred overnight to our data centre for you to access.
