How to get started
- You or your mail house/printer needs to prepare your Impact Mail articles. The Printing Industries Association of Australia (Printing Industries) provides a list of printers and mail houses capable of producing Impact Mail articles. If you are concerned about the design or labelling of your piece send it to us for assessment at:
Australia Post
Attn: Manager Customer Connections
GPO Box 1777
Melbourne, VIC 3001
Alternatively, you can email it to us at bqp.help@auspost.com.au. We will provide our recommendations to you within three working days.
- Lodge your Impact Mail articles. Part of this process is to complete the Impact Mail lodgement document or metered lodgement document (pdf 72kb) (if paying using a postage meter) and take it together with the articles to your closest approved lodgement facility.*
If you are lodging more than 10,000 articles, an Impact Mail supporting document must also be completed. This details the number of articles and trays in each sort plan. Alternatively, your mail house may use the Electronic Lodgement Management System (eLMS) and arrange pick up of your articles.
