Welcome to our new website from Ahmed Fahour

Friday, 26 March 2010

Last month I presented a preview of Australia Post's new website and asked for your feedback.

We wanted to build a website that makes it easy for all Australians to connect with Australia Post. We also wanted a website that would help deliver the high quality customer service our customers expect of us.

Every customer is different and some may have special needs, so when the preview was launched, I invited customers and staff to provide feedback.

Our new website was met with an overwhelmingly positive response and some great suggestions as to how we can further improve it. You said that you would like greater accessibility, more information about our products and services and the ability to download or order Post Guides, online (see the FAQs below, for information on how we are addressing these issues.)

Thank you for your suggestions and we will continue to take your feedback on board.

Listed below are responses to some of your most frequently asked questions. While this is only a sample of the questions submitted, please continue to provide feedback and we will provide regular updates regarding changes to the site.

FAQs

Why aren't all products and services listed in the A-Z section? Will you expand upon this section?
The A-Z section of the new website is currently being updated. As the website evolves this section will eventually include all products and services we offer.

Will the new Australia Post website feature the latest Post Guides?
Yes. You can either download our Post Guides in PDF format, or you can order a hard copy.

Why is the font so large on the new website?
Our new website meets accessibility standards for blind users. One of the key features of the new site is the ability to scale the font size for ease of visibility.

Why have some of the tools changed from the old Australia Post site?
Many of the tools and applications once available on the old website have been upgraded. They will continue to be developed as the website evolves and in response to your feedback.

Why is the website feedback page limited to 300 characters?
The new website has been developed so that it no longer has a word limit for feedback and enquiries. We want to hear your ideas.
