We will achieve this by establishing processes for working and consulting with the community, government, customers and other relevant parties that have an interest in our business.

Our stakeholders

Australia Post's stakeholders include government (local, state and federal), regulatory bodies, customers, suppliers, industry bodies, community and environmental organisations, the media, our workforce and key opinion leaders.

Australia Post Stakeholder Council

The Stakeholder Council provides a forum for Australia Post to consult with external stakeholders on issues relating to postal products and services, customer communications and corporate responsibility. The council's membership is broadly representative of our community, customer and supplier stakeholder segments. The council meets three times a year and is chaired by an Australia Post board member. Meetings are also attended by senior Australia Post executives.

Community participation procedures

Australia Post has recently reviewed its community participation procedures in order to support managers in assessing the community impact of local network, facility and product or service changes. The procedures will also help managers determine the required level of communication with local stakeholders.
