Possible mail delays due to weather

Customers are advised that mail to and from some parts of Victoria may experience a small delay in mail delivery due to yesterday's storm activity, which affected rail boom gates in the vicinity of our major mail facility at Dandenong, and caused disruption to airline services. Australia Post immediately activated contingencies to maximise the amount of mail processed during this period, but unfortunately there is a backlog of mail which our staff are working hard to process.

While these matters are beyond our control, we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause our customers.
