Oz Opera

Bringing opera to rural & regional communities

Australia Post is proud to be the principal sponsor of Opera Australia's Oz Opera. In 2010 our partnership provided more than 80,000 primary school children and 20,000 rural and regional-based Australians with access to world-class opera. Since our involvement began in 2004, over 93,000 people across 90 locations around Australia have experienced an Oz Opera performance.

This year, Oz Opera presented it's first-ever performance of Verdi's La traviata across VIC, TAS, NSW and ACT. The Oz Opera Schools Company presented 'Sid the Serpent Who Wanted to Sing' to primary school students across VIC and NSW. For further information visit the Opera Australia website. Australia Post supports a broad range of initiatives that reach communities right across our nation.

As part of Oz Opera's regional tour, Australia Post in collaboration with Oz Opera and participating local regional radio stations in southeast Australia, ran a competition to find the best vocal talent. Australia Post would like to congratulate Ms Amy Reeks from NSW, who is the winner of the major prize. Find out more.
