Industrial action by BorderForce staff impacting inbound international parcels

As a result of continuous rolling industrial action undertaken by Border Force staff since 26 September, Australia Post regretfully advises customers to expect delivery delays on international inbound parcels. This is particularly impacting international parcels into Sydney, including parcels from China.

This industrial action is also delaying the processing of international inbound parcels at other major international inbound processing facilities. Parcels cannot be delivered until they are cleared by Border Force agents.

Customers sending items overseas from Australia are not impacted by this action, and can continue to lodge their items at their local Post Office.

We apologise to customers for any inconvenience and assure them we will complete all deliveries as soon as possible.
