Environmental commitment

Australia Post is dedicated to providing high quality mail, financial, fulfilment and retail services to business and the community. In doing so, we recognise we have a responsibility to manage the social and environmental impacts of our business and support social and environmental sustainability.

To achieve this, a range of policies and guidelines have been developed to help manage our environmental impacts and guide our decision making. These include:

  • complying with legislation, local bylaws and formal government policies
  • communicating our policies to staff and contractors
  • providing a suitable level of training and awareness to staff and contractors
  • ensuring a continual process of monitoring, reviewing and reporting.

Established in 1997, our Environmental Management System helps us to identify, monitor, review and report on our impacts and deliver on our environmental commitments.
