Free education resources

Australia Post offers a range of free education resources, including an education website. The resources are all curriculum-appropriate and contain lesson plans and activity ideas for teachers and parents.

Through our education resources, we:

  • provide activities to promote learning for children of all ages
  • highlight the benefits of correct addressing
  • encourage letter writing
  • teach kids about the postal system.

These resources support our ongoing commitment to the education of young Australians.

Kids Teaching Kids

As part of our commitment to education, the environment and a sustainable future, Australia Post is proud to be the principal sponsor of Kids Teaching Kids.

This national interactive education program is delivered through schools and encourages children to:

  • learn about the environment and identify environmental challenges facing their local community
  • work together to help find solutions to these challenges
  • connect with their local community
  • gain confidence to actively take part in bringing about change for the better.

National Literacy and Numeracy Week

Schools across the nation take part in National Literacy and Numeracy Week (NLNW), with students participating in a range of activities to develop stronger literacy and numeracy skills. Australia Post believes that education, especially in the areas of literacy, computer literacy and numeracy, underpins a healthy and vibrant society. By supporting NLNW, we aim to encourage children to get involved in opportunities to enhance their skills in these areas.

Oz Opera

As principal sponsor of Oz Opera, Australia Post is proud help make opera accessible to as many Australians as possible. Our partnership includes sponsorship of the Oz Opera regional tour, Oz Opera Schools Company and a development program for young artists.

  • Australia Post Oz Opera regional touring program .
    Australia Post formed its partnership with Opera Australia in 2004. Since then, more than 93,000 people across Australia have experienced an Oz Opera performance as part of the regional touring program.
  • Australia Post Opera in Schools program .
    Through the Australia Post Opera in Schools program, Oz Opera's regional touring cast conduct workshops for music and drama students at selected regional secondary schools.
  • Australia Post Oz Opera Schools Company .
    The Oz Opera Schools Company takes performances tailored to young audiences to more than 80,000 students in over 400 schools in Victoria and NSW each year.
  • Moffatt Oxenbould Young Artist program .
    Through the Moffatt Oxenbould Young Artist program, young artists spend a year with Opera Australia. They are mentored by experienced artists and gain valuable performing experience in a supportive environment.
