Post offices and mail delivery services will observe the following arrangements over the Christmas and New Year period:

| Monday 2 January 2012: (New Year's Day public holiday) |
Post offices closed; no mail deliveries |
Friday 30 December 2011 is the Australia Post authorised holiday, an award holiday for all Australia Post staff.
No mail deliveries, including Express Post, will be made on this day.
Please note the next guaranteed day of delivery for Express Post items posted before closing times on Thursday 29 December 2011 will be Tuesday 3 January 2012 for the National Guaranteed Network. Please allow for the additional delivery time if you are sending time-sensitive material around the Australia Post authorised holiday.
Most post offices will be open on Friday 30 December.
