Celebrating Workplace Giving Month June 2011

Today marks the start of Workplace Giving Month. This month-long June celebration is about recognising the generous contribution our employees make to our nine charity partners, as well as acknowledging our commitment to our Workplace Giving program.

On 17 May 2011, Australia Post Managing Director and CEO, Ahmed Fahour, was signatory to an open letter that appeared in Australian Financial Review BOSS magazine along with other organisations including ANZ, Goldman Sachs, Optus and JB Hi Fi to thank our employees for their support, and as a call to action for other organisations to consider a similar program for their employees. Our goal is to see a culture of workplace giving emerge throughout Australia.

Since launching our Workplace Giving program on 1 July 2009, thanks to the generosity of our employees, together with Australia Post's matched contribution, to date we have raised over $750,000 for our nine charity partners, which include:
