2011 AFL Grand Final and NRL Premiership winners celebrated by Australia Post

To celebrate Geelong's triumphant win over Collingwood in Saturday's AFL Grand Final and Manly Warringah Sea Eagles' victory over the New Zealand Warriors in Sunday's NRL Premiership, Australia Post is releasing two Souvenir Stamp Sheets each featuring the victorious team.
From 4 October 2011, AFL fans and collectors will have the opportunity to purchase their own piece of premiership history at participating Australia Post retail outlets around the country.
Australia Post Philatelic Manager, Michael Zsolt said "The AFL Grand Final is one of Australia's greatest annual sporting events enjoyed by millions of fans around the country. Geelong fans will understandably be elated with Saturday's win. We hope the AFL Grand Final Souvenir Stamp Sheet serves as a constant reminder of this historic occasion and the team's remarkable achievement."
The Souvenir Stamp Sheet will feature an exciting celebratory post-match image of the 2011 Geelong team, along with team logo, final score, AFL logo and the title of "AFL Premiers 2011".
The 2011 NRL Premiers Souvenir Stamp Sheet featuring the victorious Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will be available from 7 October at participating Australia Post retail outlets.
"The NRL Grand Final always offers a display of great sporting skill and athleticism, which has millions of passionate fans throughout Australia on the edge of their seats. This Souvenir Stamp Sheet offers rugby fans a highly collectable memento of this historic sporting occasion," Mr Zsolt said.
Both Souvenir Stamp Sheets include five 60 cent Southern Cross stamps. Sporting enthusiasts and collectors can buy a souvenir sheet for $10 at participating Australia Post retail outlets, via mail order on 1800 331 794 or online at www.auspost.com.au/stamps from 4 October 2011 while stocks last.
