To celebrate Manly’s triumph in Sunday’s NRL Grand Final, Australia Post is releasing an NRL Premiers 2008 Souvenir Stamp Sheet of the victorious team.

From midday on Thursday 9 October 2008, Manly fans can purchase their very own piece of premiership history at selected Australia Post outlets around Australia.

Manly’s record breaking defeat of Melbourne Storm on Sunday delivered them their first Premiership since 1996 which means this is the first time that Manly will feature on a Premiership Team Souvenir Stamp Sheet from Australia Post.

“The Souvenir Stamp Sheet is a unique way for Manly fans to celebrate their team’s premiership win” said Noel Leahy, Australia Post’s Philatelic Group Manager. “And fans will be able to relive the victorious moment, with the souvenir sheets available within days of the game”.

The Souvenir Stamp Sheet will feature celebratory post-match images, along with the team name, team colours, team logo, final score, NRL logo and the title of “NRL Premiers 2008”.

The tabs of the stamps will feature an image of the 2008 Telstra NRL premiership trophy accompanied by the words “2008 Sea Eagles”. The Souvenir Stamp Sheet will feature ten standard 55 cent stamps and retail for $15.95 at selected Australia Post outlets and via mail order on 1800 331 794.
